About TIVVY

TIVVY started with a simple goal: to spend more real, active time with my son.

One afternoon while running errands together, we suddenly found ourselves with unexpected time to spare. I wanted to do something active with him, but I didn’t have a ball, any gear, or anything in the car. He was past the playground stage, and we didn’t have enough time for a planned activity.

So we did nothing.

It would have been easy to hand him a phone to pass the time, but moments like that felt too valuable to spend staring at a screen. I wanted something active that we could do together but had nothing to pass the time with.

That moment stuck with me.

In my professional life, as a live-action commercial producer, I’m constantly planning for worst-case scenarios so productions run smoothly. I realized I wasn’t doing the same for my family. I wanted to be ready for those unexpected pockets of time — without needing to plan ahead, without scrambling for gear, and without defaulting to devices.

That realization led to TIVVY.
